Like the Mekong River, Vietnam ebbs and flows with time. After years of colonialism and foreign invasions Vietnam now rises with elegance to embrace the world as friends.

The names may be familiar but what these places have to offer will surprise you. The majestic limestone formations dotting the emerald green waters of Halong Bay lead to miles of breathtaking coastline from the Gulf of Tonkin to the Gulf of Thailand and the South China Sea.

The French colonial architecture of Hanoi in the north mixes with centuries old temples. Locals in long, graceful silk dresses topped off with their iconic conical hats decorate the countryside. Midway down the east coast is the historic city of Hue, located on the banks of the Perfume River the seat of the Nguyuen emperors and the former national capital. In former Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City, once called the "Paris of the Orient", the rumble of thousands of motorcycles fill the streets but give way to quiet moments of reflection in tucked away water gardens.

The original home of Asian fusion cooking, a delightful mix of Chinese, spicy southeast Asian, and colonial French, the food of Vietnam does not disappoint. Vietnam is a place that one must experience first hand from the steamy rain forests to cool turquoise beaches, Communist propaganda posters to Louis Vuitton stores, hot pungent coffee to cool smooth silk. Vietnam embodies the word beauty, both in nature and its people.

"What we get from this adventure is just sheer joy. And joy is, after all, the end of life. We do not live to eat and make money. We eat and make money to be able to enjoy life. That is what life means and what life is for."

-George Mallory

"We had an amazing time on our vacation (Cambodia and Vietnam). You did a great job setting up, and it was a breeze. It was perfectly relaxing and wonderfully full. I loved every minute. We got to see everything that we wanted and more than we expected. Thank you for making it so memorable. Hope to do another trip together soon.
Your fan,"
